Boating

A small, well maintained and serene lake known as Bhulla Lake or Bhulla Tal is located at just 1 km walk from Lansdowne city centre. Made and maintained by Indian Army, Bhulla Lake is also known as Bhulla Tal among locals. A perfect picnic spot and entertaining day out in Lansdowne, Bhulla Lake is a famous place in Lansdowne. You can sit around, watch the ducks, go boating, sleep under the trees, go dangerously close to the deep end of the water and get hollered at by the guards.

Bhulla Lake has ample boating facilities with few ducks as well in the lake water. Beautiful duck shapped boats are available for paddling on the lake at very cheap rates. An amusement and children park is situated near the lake for the kids fun. One can also find small souvenir shop, a cafe, herbal plants nursery, enclosure for rabbits near the Bhulla Lake. A small over bridge on the lake attracts visitors for a best lake view. Stands are there to sit besides the lake. A bamboo machan and fountains are also constructed near the lake for more entertainment. we have spent countless hours doing just that in the hills.

Wildlife

For adventure enthusiasts, Lansdowne is nothing less than a paradise. The large stretch of wilds in the Kalagarh Wildlife Sanctuary would rightly cater to your interest, making the trip an absolutely pleasurable experience. The cool and subtle atmosphere will act as a, boon further stimulating your craving for adventure. However, make sure you abide by all the safety measures during the wildlife tour.

Let the wilderness of Kalagarh Tiger Reserve invoke the wild child in you, chase the invigorating winds and hear the eerie calls of the jungle. Sprawling over 300 sq.km of area, the Kalagarh Wildlife Sanctuary covers the northern part of Jim Corbett National Park and is one of the most significant tiger reserves in India. Here you can spot some of the wild animals like tiger, barking deer, hog deer, goral, sambhar and porcupines.

Bird Watching

The nearby vicinity of Lansdowne to the Sona Nadi division of Corbett National Park makes it a perfect bird watching territory too. There are around 600 types of birds animals that migrate to Lansdowne consistently. If you have the time, visit Pauri (82 km from Lansdowne) and undertake the trek to Kandoliya Devta temple, which offers you an awe inspiring view of the glorious Himalayan peaks and the spectacular Gangwarsyun Valley.
